新レーベル『NOFRAMES』が誕生！
BRAHMAN/EGO-WRAPPIN'によるコラボレート作品『SURE SHOT』 は、両者が真っ直ぐに向き合い、与え合い混じり合い、誰も想像し得なかった科学反応を引き起こした作品です。
鍛え磨かれた精神と肉体を武器に、鋼のようなサウンドを轟かせる、世界に冠たるハードコア/
ロックバンドBRAHMAN。ブルース，ロック、ジャズなど、あらゆるジャンルを貪欲に取り込み消化して、ワン・アンド・オンリーの音楽を作り出す男女ユニットEGO-WRAPPIN'。
まるで接点のなさそうな２組ですが、以前から互いに何か通じるものを感じていたと言います。
７年前にBRAHMANが共演を呼びかけたものの叶わず、昨年12月に満を持して実現しました。その
ステージに向けて曲を共作し、両バンド一丸となって完成させたのが『SURE SHOT』です。
しなやかにしてハードなサウンドは、熱い息吹を感じさせながら未来を見せるモダンアートのようです。
それぞれのバンドという枠からハミ出し、新たな音楽の世界を見せてくれたアーティストと、そこから生まれた作品を世に送り出すためには、既存のイメージを越える新しいフレームが必要です。
そこで、私たちは新レーベル 『NOFRAMES』 を立ち上げました。
今回のコラボレート作品 『SURE SHOT』 を第１弾とし，今後はBRAHMAN、EGO-WRAPPIN'それぞれの作品を発表して行きます。さらに向井秀徳や青柳拓次などを共同プロデューサーに迎えた
アルバム『ソレイユ』で、伸びやかな歌声と個性的な楽曲を披露したEGO-WRAPPIN'中納良恵の
ソロ作や、BRAHMANのメンバーに、ヴォーカル／フィドル奏者MARTIN、パーカッショニストKAKUEIを加えた６人編成で、伝統音楽などを取り入れた独自のアコースティックサウンドを奏でるOVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUNDなどを発表して行く予定です。
『新しい酒は新しい革袋に盛れ』 と言います。
彼等の更なる飛躍の第一歩となるだけでなく、将来、未知の可能性に溢れたアーティストやバンドが、ここから産声をあげることでしょう。
『NOFRAMES』 は、2010年代を牽引するアジアのレーベルになる事を約束します。どうぞ御注目ください。
Launching "NOFRAMES" as a new label!
The collaborated work "SURE SHOT" of BRAHMAN / EGO-WRAPPIN' has set off a chemical reaction that no one has ever imagined before, having both bands facing each other, giving and blending their features.
BRAHMAN, a preeminent hardcore / rock band that resound a steely sound with their well toned body and cultivated mind.EGO-ERAPPIN', the pair that create music of one and only by avidly absorbing various genre of music such as blues, rock, jazz etc.
7years ago, there was a time when BRAHMAN called out to EGO-WRAPPIN' for collaboration, however this didn't happen and finally last year, the collaboration has become true. The two bands have come together and have finished their first work "SURE SHOT".The sound with delicacy and hardness shows a bright future with passion just like modern art. Artists going beyond the frames of bands and showing us a new world of music. To have this new piece of art known to the world, there is a need of a new frame.
This is why we have launched "NOFRAMES" as a new label.
Having "SURE SHOT" to be the first collaborated work, we will be releasing each of BRAHMAN and EGO-WRAPPIN' s works in the future. Also there will be solo works of Yoshie Nakano (from EGO-ERAPPIN'), known by the album "Soleil" with her relaxed sing voice and unique music, produced by Shutoku Mukai and Takuji Aoyagi.
And also works by OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND, the band formed by 6 members, BRAHMAN and MARTIN as vocalist /violin fiddler and KAKUEI as percussionist, playing original acoustic pieces that take in traditional music and so on.
Just as we say, "Pile up new sake in a new leather sack", this will not only be the beginning of both bands' new challenge but also a beginning for new artists and bands that have great expectation and potential.
"NOFRAMES" promises to become a label that leads the second decade of the 21st Century in Asia, so keep an eye on us!
